Aquatic Solutions/American Red Cross Training Policy
Aquatic Solutions is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, and all of our courses are American Red Cross courses. This means the courses will yield any applicable American Red Cross certifications upon successful completion. Aquatic Solutions conducts these courses in accordance with American Red Cross training guidelines. Any requests to conduct courses in a way that violates American Red Cross policies will be denied. The in-person skill sessions (as applicable) will require some physical activity, which may be strenuous at times and vary depending on the type of course you are enrolled in. It is the responsibility of the participants and is encouraged by Aquatic Solutions to check with their health care professional before participating in the in-person skill sessions (as applicable). By registering in the course, the purchaser agrees that the participant has checked with their healthcare provider and/or the participant has been cleared and is in good health to attend and participate in any and all activities related to the course you are attending. It is the responsibility of the participant and purchaser to report any medical condition or disability that might prevent the participant from participating in the activities or have questions about being able to fully participate in the courses. By registering for the selected course, the purchaser agrees to notify Aquatic Solutions of any reasonable modifications needed for the participants for the courses they are attending. Aquatic Solutions is only able to make modifications as per the American Red Cross Inclusion Guide to receive a successful mark. Any participant deemed in good health by a healthcare provider is able to attend and audit the class for a grade of “not evaluated” as defined below.
As per American Red Cross reporting procedures when taking a course, the participant is assigned a grade of successful, unsuccessful, or not evaluated at the end of the course. When purchasing a course, it is agreed to by the purchaser that they are purchasing a seat for the specific time, date, and location of the training in the program to be evaluated and receive a grade as defined below. Registering for a course does not guarantee certification. The definition of the grades given are as follows:
Course participants are assigned one of the following grades at the conclusion of their course:
- Successful is entered for a participant who has successfully attended and participated in all class sessions, including activities and skill sessions and demonstrated proficient competency in all required skills. To receive this mark students also must be prepared with all required equipment for each class. Successful students will receive an American Red Cross Certification in the course taken.
- Unsuccessful is entered for a participant who has not met course objectives and/or has not successfully attended and participated in all class sessions, including activities and skill sessions, demonstrated proficient competency in all required skills, or violated any Aquatic Solutions policies. This mark is also issued for students unprepared with necessary equipment. Unsuccessful students will not receive an American Red Cross certification.
- Not Evaluated is entered as the final grade for a participant who is not attending the course with the intention of receiving a completion certificate. This grade should not be substituted for Unsuccessful for a participant who attempts certification but is unable to pass the completion requirements. A participant who chooses to audit must make their intentions known to the instructor at the beginning of the class. Not Evaluated students will not receive an American Red Cross certification.
Successful Students Only: All students given a grade of successful, as defined above, will receive a digital certification via email given to the instructor at the end of the class. Each student must have a valid and unique email to receive the certifications. All emails with certifications are sent via the American Red Cross platform. Aquatic Solutions strives to process certification as soon as possible. The normal processing time for certification is 24 to 48 hours after the end of your course. The maximum time a course record will be processed is ten (10) business days from the last day of the course. All certifications issued are digital certifications and will be emailed to the participant and can be found, downloaded, and shared on the following website within 72 hours after the course record has been processed. https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate The Participant is responsible for the correct spelling of your own name and email. A student roster is filled out at the end of each class and you must check to make sure your name and email on the roster is spelled and formatted correctly. Please refer to the logistics on your registration ticket automatically sent to you immediately after registration as part of the registration process for facility access information. It is the responsibility of the participant that upon registration, they check to ensure that they receive their enrollment notification via the email inputted at the time of registration is accurate. Failure to do so may result in an unsuccessful mark in the program. It is also the participants responsibility to ensure that the entry of their email address, phone number, and other information is entered correctly at the time of registration.
Refund Policy/Transfer Policy (Land Based Courses):
Land based courses include the following in the title- First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Responding to Emergencies, First Aid For Severe Trauma, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, Babysitters Training, Pool Activity Leader, and Oxygen Administration.
There is no refund for any student who is marked as unsuccessful in a course for any reason. There is no refund given for any students who do not attend their scheduled course as per their enrollment notification. If a student receives an unsuccessful mark, misses their scheduled course, or does not complete pre-course work, they will not be granted any form of refund, and would need to re-enroll for a course. Any denied refund requests would result in a forfeiture of the registration fee.
In the event you must cancel an appointment the following time restriction would determine eligibility for a refund or transfer:
- Within 24 hours from the start time of the course: Any customer who purchases or requests cancellation of a course within 24 hours prior to the start date and start time agrees that their purchase is “All Sales Final.” This means no cancellations can be made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the course, and no refunds will be granted to anyone who attempts to cancel their course within 24 hours prior to class start date, regardless of when the course was paid for. The purchaser agrees upon checkout and registration that no refund will be provided for any cancellations within 24 hours from the start of the course. For online only courses there is no refund/transfers and no reschedules. This policy excludes and restrictions apply to online only classes, pop up locations, and platform fees as stated below.
- Refund Request within 72 hours of registering and more than 24 hours from the start of the class: A 25% cancellation fee will apply to all approved refund requests. This means that the participant is only eligible for up to 75% of the purchase amount within this 72 Hour period from the original registration. If requested, a customer is allowed to convert their full paid amount into a credit that can be used within one (1) year of purchase date at no additional charge within this 72 Hour Period. No cancellations can be made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the course, and no refunds will be granted to anyone who attempts to cancel their course within 24 hours prior to class start date, regardless of when the course was paid for. Any eligible refunds for any classes or services canceled by Aquatic Solutions due to low enrollment or other reasons must be requested within 4 months of receiving any cancellation email to be eligible for any form of refund. Beyond that time the registration fee would be forfeited.
- Refund request after 72 hours of registering is not permitted and the customer will not receive a refund, however the purchaser is allowed to transfer the credit paid for the next available class for a transfer fee of $35.00 per person transferred. This credit is valid for up to one (1) year from the original registration date. No cancellations can be made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the course, and no refunds will be granted to anyone who attempts to cancel their course within 24 hours prior to class start date, regardless of when the course was paid for. This policy excludes online only classes. This policy excludes and restrictions apply to online only classes, pop up locations, aquatic based courses, and platform fees as stated below.
The purchaser agrees to follow the below processes:
- How to Request a Refund: All emails are time stamped and it is determined eligible based on the time and date the email is received and the above stated policies. All refund requests must be submitted to help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com. If a refund request is not received via email, it will not be reviewed. If a Refund Request is reviewed and deemed eligible, it will be posted within 2- 4 weeks of being approved.
How to Request a Transfer: Transfers need to be made prior to the course start time and use the “Rescheduling Request Form” on the logistics received immediately after registration. Once the “Rescheduling Request Form” is submitted it will be time stamped and our registration representatives will get back to you. All transfer requests can be requested using the reschedule request form using the following link https://www.aquaticsolutions-cpr.com/reschedule-request/ Reschedule request forms are time stamped when the form is submitted by the purchaser to determine eligibility as stated above. The request for transfer will be assessed by an Aquatic Solutions representative and determine eligibility based on the above stated transfer policy. The purchaser’s reschedule request will not be complete until you receive an updated ticket from Aquatic Solutions Representative. It is understood that the reschedule is not complete and that the participant has not been granted a seat in a new course. All rescheduled courses may be canceled. In the event a rescheduled course cancels the customer would have the option to select an alternative date, however, a refund is not an option. Discount codes will not be valid for transfer charges.

Restrictions to the above stated refund policies are agree as follows:
- Online Only Courses: All Online Only Courses are “All Sales Final”. This means that there is no refund/transfers and no reschedules for any Online Only courses. The purchaser agrees upon checkout that no refund will be provided, and no reschedules/transfers will be granted.
- Group Rates: Organizations that obtain a Group Rate are not eligible for refunds. However, Transfers will be provided to High-volume organizations. The designation of High-volume is at the discretion of Aquatic Solutions.
- Pop Up Locations: The seat selected by the purchaser listed as “pop up location” guarantees a seat in the specific date, time, and location listed during the registration process. All courses listed as “pop up location” are not guaranteed for a reattempt, reschedule, or transfer at the same location. When Purchasing a “pop up location” designated course the purchaser agrees that in the event a request is made by the purchaser to transfer, reschedule, or reattempt the original training into another date and time, the same location will not be guaranteed. All fees for rescheduling and transfer requests into another date and time would apply as listed above. Refund requests for a course listed as “pop up location” are assessed on the above listed refund policy.
- Platform Fees: Registration is completed using a scheduling and enrollment software that is designed for easy use of the customer for a seamless experience. This software may assess a platform fee, to be paid by the purchaser. This platform fee is not received by Aquatic Solutions and is paid directly to the scheduling software, CPREnroll. By purchasing a course and registering and accepting Aquatic Solutions policies, it is agreed that this payment is made by the purchaser. This fee is non-transferable and non-refundable by Aquatic Solutions. Any refunds approved will not include this Platform Fee.
- Lifeguard, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, and Instructor courses: Additional details on these course policies and fees are listed below under Course specific policies.
- Swim Lessons or other Aquatic Based courses are all sales final and any missed class is a forfeited payment.
Lateness Policy:
It is the responsibility of the participant to arrive on time for their scheduled class.
“On time” means the participant must arrive at the class no later than the start time of the class stated on the ticket email. Lateness will incur all fees associated with a class transfer of a $30 rescheduling fee. Any lateness can result in an unsuccessful mark as previously defined. The purchaser agrees that no refund will be provided if a participant arrives late to class. Prior training or experience does not substitute classroom sessions.

As an American Red Cross provider, we have to adhere to the standards for training and this means you need to be on time in order to be marked successful and obtain certification. Be advised that having prior training does not excuse lateness, and cannot be considered when factoring an assessment for certification. The instructors will not provide exceptions. Course requirements are set by the American Red Cross and all Instructors must adhere to these guidelines without exception. Asking the Instructor to violate these policies in any way, including by harassing, interrupting a course, or in any way detracting from the educational experience of other students will result in a violation of our behavior policy, and will make you ineligible to use the transfer function.
Appropriate Behavior and Attendance Policy:
Aquatic Solutions, Inc. strives to maintain a safe and supportive teaching environment for all participants. Disruptive behavior is prohibited in any of our classes. Disruptive behavior is any behavior which Aquatic Solutions regards as speech or action which is disrespectful, offensive, and/or threatening, interferes with the learning activities of other students, impedes the delivery of instructional services, and/or has a negative impact in any learning environment or towards a customer support representative.
Disruptive behavior includes physically, verbally or psychologically harassing, threatening, or acting abusively toward an instructor, staff member, or toward other students in any activity conducted by Aquatic Solutions.
Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to remove any participant who violates this policy. Aquatic Solutions also reserves the right to withhold any customer from returning should they violate this policy.
Equipment Requirement Policy:
In select classes, as per CDC guidelines, fully cleaned and sanitized reusable Adult and Pediatric training pocket face Resuscitation masks are available for use during the class. Each student will receive a free brand new disposable valve to be used with the sanitized reusable mask. If you would prefer to use a brand new sealed Resuscitation mask set (would include storage pouch, additional gloves, and disinfectant wipe) to keep and use in the class which would be yours to keep, it can be purchased for an additional cost. If purchased, the equipment must be brought to all training sessions. If this equipment is lost, misplaced, or stolen it can be repurchased for an additional cost.
Pre-Course Assessments Policy
For any courses with Pre-Course Assessments: Pre-Course assessment means that the materials must be completed before the beginning of any Course work. It is the first thing done on Session 1 of the course, and cannot be assessed after the Pre-Course assessment portion of the course has finished. Aquatic Solutions administers all Pre-Course assessments as required by the American Red Cross.
It is the responsibility of the student to prepare for any Pre-Course assessments prior to the first day. Any participants marked unsuccessful in the Pre-Course assessment are ineligible to participate in the course for certification, but can stay and watch the duration of the course.
Online Completion Report Policy
For all courses designated and listed as “Blended Learning” or “BL” in the title or requiring an online completion, it is the course participant’s responsibility to successfully complete the Online materials and failure to do so would result in an unsuccessful mark.
It is the responsibility of the participant that upon registration, they check to ensure that they receive their enrollment notification with their online portion via the email imputed at the time of registration. Please note instructor course online links are sent 2 weeks prior to the course start date and will be in a separate email.
It is the participants responsibility to ensure that Online Completion reports are presented to the Instructor at the beginning of the course. The online Completion is a Prerequisite and as such needs to be completed before the course begins. It cannot be done once the course has already started, nor can extensions be provided to complete these materials after the course has started. The completed online session also needs to have the participant who is physically attending the class listed on the online Completion certificate/credentials. If you are purchasing the course on behalf of someone else, such as an employee, it is your responsibility to forward all the pertinent materials to the participant.
Participants who do not present a valid Online Completion Report with the name of the course they are scheduled to attend will not be allowed to proceed in the course for certification purpose, but will be given the opportunity to audit the course for experience, however they will not be certified regardless of the success of the In-Person Skills session/Pre-course Assessment. Auditing the course will not count towards completing a Skill Session, and the participant acknowledges that auditing without an Online Completion means that the participant will need to redo the entire In-Person Skill Session on a later date when a valid Online Completion report with the name of the course they are scheduled to attend is presented. The name on the online completion report must match the name of the participant.
Missing a valid Online Completion report constitutes not having completed a core curriculum requirement for the course, and is considered a Fail. Participants are responsible for passing the Blended Learning materials. It is the responsibility of the participant to start Blended Learning materials on time, and should a participant present themselves without an Online Completion Report due to failing the Online materials, they will be considered a Fail. Students who did not complete the proper Online sessions are not eligible for a refund as they are considered failing the course. All applicable reschedule fees will apply to any participant who fails due to not completing or passing their Online sessions.
No refund will be issued for any issues completing the online portion of the course. Aquatic Solutions is not responsible for the failure for the participant to complete the online portion as this is American Red Cross software. The customer is responsible for reaching out to the American Red Cross with any troubleshooting issues. Lifeguard Course Specific Policies:
This Policy applies to all courses designated as American Red Cross: Lifeguarding.
The Prerequisite for the Lifeguarding course are as follows:
- Be at least 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the Lifeguarding course.
- Complete the online portion of the course prior to the scheduled start time. (link for online portion and information listed below in this email)
- Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest: Prerequisite 2: Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: Jump into the water and totally submerge, resurface then swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. (Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Swim goggles are allowed) Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both
- Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. (The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed). Submerge to a depth of 7 – 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face out at or near the surface. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
Any participant who is unsuccessful with any of the above prerequisites is not allowed to participate in the course for certification purposes. A participant can stay and watch, however they will not be allowed to participate in any hand-on skills. The Pre-Course Assessment for the Lifeguarding course is designed to measure whether a participant has the stamina for the course, and participating in Hands-On skills when the Pre-Course assessment is unsuccessful puts a participant in a safety risk.
The Lifeguarding Course, along with the Pre-Course Assessment, are not a Learn-To-Swim course. Instructors are not responsible for teaching participants how to swim, nor are they responsible for making corrections to strokes. At the time of the Pre-Course Assessment beginning, the participants should be adequately prepared to pass these skills.
In the event the participant is marked as unsuccessful in the course for any reason: a $100 reattempt fee would apply for an additional reattempt of the course at the next available offering with a credit valid for four(4) months from your originally scheduled course. There is no refund given if a student is marked as unsuccessful. To reattempt the class and make the $100 reattempt fee an email must be sent to help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com After the reattempt fee is made an Aquatic Solutions representative will respond with the next available offerings for the reattempt.
In the event the participant would like to reschedule their originally scheduled course prior to the course the rescheduling policy listed above would apply and any equipment provided to the student from their original class would need to be brought back for the reattempt course.
There is no refund given for any students who do not attend their scheduled course. There is no refund for any student who does not pass a course for any reason. If a student does not pass, they will not be granted any form of refund, and would need to re-enroll for a course using the above mentioned reattempt option.
Lifeguarding Course Transfer Enrollment Option Policy:
This transfer enrollment applies to any course with the word “Lifeguard” in the title. In the event that a participant decides to, for any reason, not continue with the course and does not wish to reattempt there is no refund however they can transfer their enrollment to another participant for a one time fee of $50.00 paid by the new participant and valid for a period of four (4) months that this transferred enrollment can be used. This fee also includes 1 brand New Sealed Pocket Face Mask resuscitation Combo set for the transferred participant. Enrollment cannot be transferred more than one time and is subject to review and approval by Aquatic Solutions should a transfer request be made. Any transfers made to another participant will have the original participant’s registration null and void with new logistics sent to the new participant. There will be no refund given for the original participants registration for a transferred Enrollment. Transferred courses follow the same general refund policy terms as all Aquatic Solutions courses.
Shallow Water Lifeguard Course Specific Policies:
This Policy applies to all courses designated as American Red Cross: Shallow Water Lifeguarding.
The Prerequisite for the Lifeguarding course are as follows:

In the event the participant would like to reschedule their originally scheduled course prior to the course the rescheduling policy listed above would apply, and any equipment provided to the student from their original class would need to be brought back for the reattempt course.
There is no refund given for any students who do not attend their scheduled course. There is no refund for any student who does not pass a course for any reason. If a student does not pass, they will not be granted any form of refund, and would need to re-enroll for a course using the above mentioned reattempt option.
Instructor Courses Policy
This policy is designated for any course registered with the title “Instructor” or “Instructor Trainer.” Any participant enrolling in an Instructor Course assumes the responsibility of passing the Pre-Course Assessment as well as presenting valid requirements for the course. This includes having the correct Basic/Provider level certifications. Aquatic Solutions conducts all Instructor courses as outlined by the American Red Cross and there is no exception to conducting these assessments. Instructor courses are not designed to teach you Base/Provider level skills, and The Instructor Trainers teaching the course will not be able to reassess after the maximum amount of assessment is conducted. All Skills must be demonstrated to standard as outlined in the Instructor Manual and as demonstrated in the videos. Any participant who does not pass or is marked as unsuccessful during their registered course is able to reschedule their course to the next available course offering after making the following rescheduling fees:
- Lifeguarding Instructor: $90 Rescheduling Fee
- Lifeguarding Instructor Re-Entry: $90 Rescheduling Fee
- Lifeguarding Instructor Recertification: $50 Rescheduling Fee
- Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Recertification: $50 Rescheduling Fee
- Water Safety Instructor: $150 Rescheduling Fee
- Water Safety Instructor Reentry: $150 Rescheduling Fee
- First aid/CPR/AED Instructor: $50 Rescheduling Fee
- Basic Life Support Instructor: $50 Rescheduling Fee
All reattempt requests must be emailed to help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com within six (6) months from the purchase date in order to be eligible for a transfer. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of enrollment fees.
If a reattempt is not desired, a refund would not be an option, as a grade was given for services. The refund policy, as stated in these terms, would apply and the participant grade of unsuccessful or not evaluated will be the participant’s final grade in which the registration fee is applied. Reschedule courses are not guaranteed to run and may cancel. In the event that a rescheduled class is canceled, the participant may choose an alternative date. This would result in a forfeiture of the enrollment fees.
Administrative Processing Fees Policies
Paperwork/Form Completion Request: This policy is effective for all courses needing a form filled out by Aquatic Solutions or Aquatic Solutions Representatives.
Please be advised that if the customer needs any type of form filled out, that the customer should bring these forms to be filled out in class.
All forms that need to be filled out after the course has ended will incur fees associated with Instructors needing to fill them out. This fee will be assessed at $30.00.
Credit Card Chargeback/Dispute Policy: Any chargeback or dispute initiated would result in a processing fee. If a charge is placed in dispute by you (or the cardholder if it is not your credit card) because you (or the cardholder) do not recognize/recall this charge, or any other reason the purchaser will be responsible for a processing fee of $40 in addition to the original charges of the class.
Exam Policy
Lifeguarding Courses: All Lifeguarding courses require that participants complete two written exams. For Instructor-Led courses, this would be the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid exam and the Lifeguarding Skills exam. For Blended Learning courses, The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid is completed on the Online Portion and the Lifeguarding Skills exam is conducted in person.
If a participant does not successfully pass the written exam(s), they will be allowed to review the exam for any wrong answers and reschedule to a later date for an alternative exam(s). This alternative exam must be completed within ten (10) days of the course completion date. If the participant does not complete the alternative exam(s) within ten days of completion, they will be required to retake the entire Lifeguarding course. If a participant requests to take the alternative exam(s) on the same day as the first exam(s), they accept full responsibility in the event that they do not successfully complete the alternative exam(s) without enough time to review and re-immerse in the course materials. If both the first exam(s) and the alternative exam(s) are unsuccessful, then the participant will be required to retake the entire Lifeguarding course.
Instructor Level Courses: All Instructor level courses have only one (1) exam. Reexamination is not possible as there is no alternative exam for Instructor level courses. In the event that an Instructor candidate is unsuccessful with the written exam, the candidate would be required to retake the entire Instructor course.
Healthcare Suite (BLS/ALS/PALS): All Healthcare Suite courses require one final written exam that is course specific. If taking an Instructor-led course, this final exam would be open book, and the participant will be provided with manuals to use throughout the course and for the exam.

If a participant is taking the blended learning course the exam is included online. If the participant fails to complete the online portion they will be given the option to take an in person test for an upgrade time fee for the exam to be taken for $15 per exam. This fee is for any class designated in the title as “Blended Learning” or “BL”
First Aid/CPR/AED Courses: If a participant is taking the “blended learning” course the exam is included online. If the participant fails to complete the online portion they will be given the option to take an in person test for an upgrade time fee for the exam to be taken for $15 per exam. This fee is for any class designated in the title as “Blended Learning” or “BL”
COVID-19 Related Policy
In-person courses are available to fully vaccinated students or students able to attest to having a negative COVID test within the past 48 hours, regardless of age. Teaching protocols will assume that all students are fully vaccinated or tested negative within the last 48 hours.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift Certificate Refund Policy: All Gift certificates are All Sales Final. All Sales Final means that there are no refunds for any Gift Certificate and that the purchaser acknowledges that once purchased, they are not entitled to a refund. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for Cash value.
Gift Certificate Validity: Gift Certificates are valid for One (1) Year of Purchase date. After this date, the Gift Certificate converts to a credit equal to the amount paid for the Gift Certificate, and any difference in the listed price and the Gift certificate will have to be paid by the person redeeming the Gift Certificate.
How to Redeem: A Gift Certificate be redeemed by either the purchaser or the participant listed on the Gift Certificate. If the Gift Certificate is transferred to another person, the Purchaser would need to email Aquatic Solutions in order to transfer the Gift Certificate to another person. To redeem the Gift Certificate, please email help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com with the Gift Certificate. Aquatic Solutions will redeem your Gift Certificate and provide you with a Single Use Code that can be redeemed upon checkout on our website. Gift Certificates can only be redeemed for courses listed on the Gift Certificate. They cannot be transferred to other offerings aside from courses listed on the Gift Certificate.
Once the Gift Certificate is redeemed, it cannot be used again.
Discount Codes: Discount Codes do not Stack with Gift Certificates. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to terminate a Gift Certificate if a customer uses any discount/promo codes to purchase Gift Certificates.
Price Controlled: Gift Certificates are Price Controlled. During the 1 Year Redeem Period, you are allowed to redeem the Gift Certificate for any Programs listed on the Gift Certificate, regardless of any Price Increases or Decreases that occur over the course of the year. If the course price increases, your Gift Certificate will be honored for redemption regardless of increases within the 1 Year of Purchase.
