Trains Lifeguarding instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Blended Learning, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training.

This in-person Instructor review course is the required course for all Lifeguarding Instructors to re-certify. Lifeguarding Instructor/IT Review Course with Basic-Level Test-out for Lifeguarding Certification

This in-person Instructor review course is the required course for all Lifeguarding Instructors to re-certify. During this course, Lifeguarding Instructors and Instructor Trainers will participate in an in-water practice and polish skills session in addition to a classroom-based review of Red Cross administrative policies and procedures. Lifeguarding Instructors may also choose to attend a brief “test out” session following this course to gain a basic-level Lifeguarding certification. Upon successful completion participants will recieve an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification and an American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First aid/CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years.

First Aid for Severe Trauma Instructor

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid for Severe Trauma Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic level First Aid for Severe Trauma course.

Prerequisite – Instructor candidates in the American Red Cross First Aid for Severe Trauma Instructor course must be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course and possess a current basic-level certification in First Aid for Severe Trauma or equivalent.

The FAST Instructor Crossover with Skill Session is designed to recognize the previous training of American Red Cross instructors and/or those with current equivalent training from other organizations to allow these individuals to participate in an abbreviated instructor crossover course to become current American Red Cross First Aid for Severe Trauma instructors. The FAST Instructor Crossover with Skill Session can be taught by American Red Cross First Aid for Severe Trauma instructors or First Aid for Severe Trauma instructor trainers.

The purpose of the American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level American Red Cross Advanced Life Support course.

Advanced Life Support Instructor candidates must possess a current basic-level certification in Advanced Life Support or equivalent. Instructor Candidates must complete the American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Instructor course online session.

This course is designed to train professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over.
